We have an feature called "Search Blood Donor" on the home page on your screen. Select your location from the list. Select the blood type you are searching for. Click the search button. You can then see the list of donors in the locality/area of your choice.
2. How can I register as a blood donor?
Click on the "Register as a donor" button. You can find this on menu of the site. Once you click on this button, you will be taken to the registration page and then you can fill up your AUTHENTIC details &then once you are done with this you become a registered member of our site and your name will be viewable to recipients searching for donors.
3. How will a recipient find me?
A recipient who is in need of blood searches by type of blood and locality/area. If your blood type matches the requirement, your name along with contact details will be displayed in the search results. The recipient will then call you to fix an appointment.
4. How do I know if I am eligible to donate blood?
We have mentioned the basic eligibility criteria to donate blood. But if you are interested in knowing the more intricate details, please consult with your physician, as it may vary according to one's physical /medical condition.
5. What if I have complaints after donating blood (after registering in Blood Base)
You can mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org, your name will then be prevented from appearing in the search results until the specified time period. Once you recover or complete your prescribed medication, please revert us back on the same subject line we'll make your id visible again in our list.
6. After donation of blood, how do I let recipients know that I can't donate for the next three months?
You can mail us the date of your donation at email@example.com, Once you do this, your name will not appear in the search results for a period of 3 months, as the average body takes about that much time to fully replenish the blood and it's components.
7. If I want to Report a wrong number/detail of a donor which is mentioned in Bloodbase database?
On the result page where you can see the list of the people with their contact numbers in front of every volunteer there is a tab named "Report" so as you click on this link you get a pop-up box in which just click on the appropiate option working or not working and type down the message below if you are facing some other issues with that number, and submit it, we'll definitely try to resolve that issue as soon as possible.
8. I didn't find the blood type in the search engine, What should I do?
On the home page, there is a tab named "Request for Blood" when you click that Tab you'll be taken to the webpage having a small 2 minute form , Please fill in all the prescribed details in that form and Submit it, and we'll try to arrange the blood type and get back to you as soon as possible.
9. How to Change my Availability Status?
As a Donor, When you login there is a form named "My Status" As you go through the form in which you can choose your details which would include- I last Donated blood on ___(choose the date)____ ,So I won't be available till __ (Choose the date)____ . So BloodBase won't reflect you available in the database it will mark you not- available till your prescribed date but immediately after that date it would again reflect your details. As after blood Donation your body needs maximum 3 months to get replenished so the time duration gap can't exceed 3 months, If you have some othe reason for not donation then please do mail us with your registered email id at firstname.lastname@example.org.
